Halloween Pumpkin Cheese Balls

These adorable pumpkin-shaped cheese balls are a fun and flavorful appetizer that will steal the spotlight at any Halloween or fall gathering. Made with a rich blend of cream cheese, cheddar, and gouda, they’re irresistibly creamy and packed with savory flavor. The crushed cheese snack coating adds a satisfying crunch and bright orange hue that perfectly mimics tiny pumpkins.

Ingredients
 
 

For the cheese balls:

  • 230 g cream cheese
  • 230 g gouda cheese grated
  • 500 g cheddar grated
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcester sauce
  • salt
  • pepper

For the coating:

  • finely crushed cheese snacks (Cheetos-style)

For serving:

  • ½ green bell pepper cut into thin sticks (for “stems”)

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, gouda, cheddar, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and evenly blended.
  • Shape the mixture into 26 small balls, then gently press each one to create a slightly oval shape.
  • Roll each cheese ball in the crushed cheese snacks until fully coated.
  • Using a toothpick, lightly score vertical lines around each cheese ball to create a pumpkin-like texture.
  • Insert a small piece of green pepper on top as the stem.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Chef’s Tip: Chill the cheese balls for about 30 minutes before serving — it helps them firm up and makes the pumpkin details more defined.
