These fried cheese balls made with parmesan cheese are a fantastic appetizer and a kids’ favorite. They resemble the Greek tirokroketes, though this recipe is made solely with parmesan.
Enjoy them while warm with a side of jam or your favorite fruit-based sauce.
Place all the ingredients in a bowl, mix together, and shape into balls.
For the breading:
In three separate bowls, place the flour, the egg yolks, and the panko. Bread the parmesan balls dipping them first in the flour, then in the egg yolk, and finally in the panko.
Fry over medium heat until they turn golden.
Serve the parmesan balls warm.
Notes
Fry the parmesan balls over low heat for them to cook well inside.
