Peach Barbeque Sauce
This smooth, fruity barbecue sauce blends ripe peaches with tomato, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar for a balance of sweetness and tang. It’s perfect for brushing over grilled chicken, pork, or ribs, or serving as a dipping sauce alongside smoky barbecue favorites.
Ingredients
- 5 cup peaches ,peeled and pitted
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 shallots finely chopped
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallots and sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste and Dijon mustard and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the peaches, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until the peaches are very soft.
- Purée the mixture until smooth using a blender or immersion blender. Season with salt to taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed.
