Red Velvet Waffles w/ Cream Cheese
Is it a unique breakfast (or brunch) or a twist on red velvet cake? Whatever you call it, these soft and fluffy red velvet waffles are a delightful treat. Topped with a light and creamy layer of whipped cream cheese and fresh, juicy blueberries, they offer the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess.

Red Velvet Waffles w/ Cream Cheese
A unique waffles recipe that looks amazing and tastes even better. These red velvet waffles are topped with a light cream cheese cream and fresh blueberries.
Ingredients
For the waffles:
- 200 g flour
- 10 g baking powder
- 100 g sugar
- 3 tbsp cocoa
- 200 ml cooking cream or whipping cream/yogurt
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- red food coloring, as needed (about 1–2 tbsp liquid or 2–3 tsp gel/powder)
For the cream:
- 400 g cream cheese
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 250 g blueberries
Optional:
- fruit or powdered sugar for decorating
Instructions
- Mix all the waffle batter ingredients in a large bowl until smooth and lump-free.
- Pour 2–3 tablespoons of batter (or enough to lightly cover the grid), depending on the size of your waffle maker. Make sure it is hot enough.
- Bake until the waffles are firm but fluffy. Repeat until you run out of batter.
- In a second bowl, mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth, light, and creamy.
- Spread each waffle with cream, add plenty of blueberries and repeat to stack as many waffles as you like, creating a small red velvet waffle “cake.
- Decorate with extra fruit and powdered sugar.
