Rosewood Brings Women’s Hospitality Leadership Program to London
Female chefs, bartenders, sommeliers and other hospitality professionals are being invited to apply for Rise to the Table, Rosewood Foundation’s leadership development program, which will hold its next residency at The Chancery Rosewood in London from March 7–13, 2027, according to the foundation’s announcement.
Rosewood is seeking 10 women for the 2027 program, with applications closing on October 28, 2026. The program combines a week-long residency with a year of mentorship, pairing each participant with a senior Rosewood leader to support her professional development beyond the London experience.
Opening Doors to Leadership
The initiative aims to address barriers to advancement by giving women access to professional coaching, industry networks and experienced mentors. Participants will explore leadership, business strategy and innovation while exchanging ideas with hospitality professionals from different countries and disciplines.
The challenges facing women in senior culinary roles have been highlighted by Chef’s Pencil’s research into female-led Michelin-starred restaurants. Based on research conducted in May 2022, the study found that just 6.04% of the 2,286 Michelin-starred restaurants analyzed across 16 countries were led by women.
“Rise to the Table was created from a simple belief: championing female talent is how we shape the future of hospitality,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group and chairperson of Rosewood Foundation.
The London edition follows the inaugural residency at Rosewood Hong Kong in March 2026. That first cohort brought together 11 women from eight countries, including chef and cookbook author Marie Mitchell, chef and food stylist Lelani Lewis, and Crushed Wine Bar co-founder Leigh-Ann Luckett.
Who Can Apply?
The program welcomes women from any country and educational background, including chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, service professionals and those developing leadership careers in the wider hospitality industry. Applicants must be at least 18, have a minimum of five years’ industry experience, speak and write English fluently, and be available to travel to London for the residency.
Further information and applications are available through the Rise to the Table program page. The final application round closes on October 28, 2026.
