Kompot Z Suszu (Polish Dried Fruit Juice)
Kompot is a delicious fruit-based drink made in Poland throughout the winter months. Similar to a fruit-punch or fruit soup, but non-alcoholic, this spicy beverage is an ideal drink to serve around the Christmas time for the entire family to enjoy.
Traditionally it was made from a variety of fruit such as apples, plums, pears that were picked during summer and early autumn and dried to last through the winter. It’s typically enjoyed at the end of the meal, as a light dessert, either hot or cold.
