Çoban Salata (Shepherd's Salad)
Whether this salad is popular because it is effortless to make or because it is tasty, it is undoubtedly the most popular salad in Turkey.

- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1 medium cucumber
- ½ large onion
- 3 sprigs parsley
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of ½ lemon freshly squeezed
- Salt to taste
How to make Shepherd's Salad
Finely dice the tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, and onions, and finely chop the parsley.
Transfer all the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and add the olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Toss it all well.
Let rest for at least half an hour in the refrigerator before serving.
