Directions
How to Make Perna de Peru de Natal:
- In a mincer or with the help of a magic wand, put the olive oil, garlic, parsley, paprika, juice and zest of an orange, salt and pepper.
- Chop well.
- On an oven tray place the turkey leg on a tray and cover well with the paste.
- Cover the meat with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for a few hours (preferably do this the day before.)
- Preheat the oven to 180° C.
- Add the onions in half moons and drizzle with white wine.
- Bake for about 1 hour 30 minutes then cover it with the sauce.
- Serve with boiled or baked potatoes or sweet potatoes.
