Cuban families love traditions… and nothing is more traditionally than the fried ripe banana! This traditional dish is a direct legacy of the African cultures that arrived on the island. This sweet dish is often very special to Cubans, however the recipe is very simple. The banana is cut into slices and fried in hot oil. Sometimes a little salt and seasonings are sprinkled on top.
How to Cook Fried Ripe Banana:
- Peel the banana and cut it into long slices.
- Fry them in the skillet with about an inch of hot fat, until golden brown.
