500 grams green beans

1 egg
4 tablespoons Onion finely chopped

Preparation

  1. Cut the ends of the green beans off and boil in water with salt for approximately 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour with enough water to create a batter.
  3. Afterwards, add the egg and the onion, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Dip the bean pods, two at a time, in the batter and fry in hot vegetable oil, until they become golden in colour.
  5. Dab any extra oil on absorbent paper.
