Arroz con Leche is a comforting and simple no-fuss dessert that’s guaranteed to satisfy any sweet tooth.

How to Make Arroz Con Leche:

  1. In medium or large pot over a high heat, put the rice, cinnamon sticks, salt, and water.
  2. Mix together and bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, cover and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes until most of the water has evaporated.
  4. Add the milk, give it a stir, cover, and cook for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the sugar, give it another stir, cover, and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the lid, raise the heat to medium-high and cook for another 5 minutes or until the rice pudding has reached a thick consistency.
  7. Remove from the heat and let the rice cool for 15 minutes. This will help the pudding thicken even more.
  8. Serve warm or refrigerate for 2 hours and serve cold.
  9. Garnish with cinnamon, chopped nuts, a spoonful of caramel, or any other topping you fancy.
