Tunku
Tunku is part of Tunku Abdul Rahman University and offers a Diploma in Culinary Arts. To earn this diploma, students are required to study for two years and take classes such as Butchery, Food and Beverage Service, Nutrition, Asian Cuisine, Fundamental Cooking and Larder, and Patisserie. During their studies, culinary students will not only learn how to create delicious meals, but how to see food as an art. In addition to this, students will discover the right ways to communicate in the kitchen and the importance of teamwork. Tunku has both a training kitchen and a handful of restaurants culinary students can use and where they will be watched over by experts in the field. During their studies, students will be sent to work as apprentices in local restaurants to gain valuable experience. This school opens for admissions in May and October and tuition varies depending on whether you are a Malaysian or international student.
