The Dirty Apron Cooking School, Delicatessen & Catering
The Dirty Apron Cooking School, Delicatessen & Catering is situated in Vancouver and was opened in 2009 by husband and wife duo David and Sarah Robertson. The school hosts around 10,000 students each year and works to teach pupils not only the fundamentals of cooking, but how to have a deep appreciation of food. Held in a high-tech kitchen, the classes touch on topics like preparing seafood, making mouthwatering vegetarian dishes, wine pairings, and how to properly braise meat. The courses range in their times with some lasting only two hours and others four. A few also allow students to spend the day making a meal and then enjoy it with others in the school’s dining room. All equipment used is of top quality and includes utensils from brands like Wusthof and All-Clad. Applicants can book a course they are interested in online and fees are about $180 per person.
