Founded in 2016 by Shai Mandel, Rooks Cooks was created to ensure everyone is able to access the culinary arts. Most of the classes hosted at this cooking school are geared toward kids and are prepared so that all students are accommodated according to their needs. Courses are held throughout the year and attendees are broken up into small groups. Students will learn not only how to make mouthwatering meals like pizza and soup, but discover the importance of a good diet and how to make healthy meals. Students will also be taught how to communicate with others in the kitchen and how to be independent when cooking. Rooks Cooks also has summer camps and after-school workshops kids can attend. There are a few private and in-home classes adults can sign up for that will teach you how to make pies, tarts, donuts, and sushi. The cost for one of these classes is $65 per person.
