Culinary Arts Training Centre
The Culinary Arts Training Centre is located in the city of Kamloops and teaches student chefs how to create meals based on a farm-to-table approach. Students will be taught by master instructors who not only inform students about kitchen basics, but how to create meals based on specialty diets and communicating properly in the kitchen with others. The Culinary Arts Training Centre features a state-of-the-art cooking area filled with the latest technology and new utensils. Some programs offered at this culinary arts school include a Culinary Arts Certificate and Red Seal Certificate. There is also a Meatcutter Program that lasts around nine months and trains students how to cut and cure meat, use the proper knife techniques, and create correct portion controls. Regardless of the program signed up, students will be able to get real-life experience by working at one of the Culinary Arts Training Centre’s retail areas, such as Scratch Café, Accolades Dining Room, and Retail Meat Store. Program costs range from $2,000-$4,000 for Canadian students and $7,000-$15,000 for international ones.
