Sour Mix
Sour mix is a cocktail ingredient often used in cocktails and drinks, most famously perhaps in the Long Island Ice Tea.
In general it is produced with equal amounts of lime or lemon juice and simple sugar syrup. This is vigorously shaken and the mix will get a silky smooth pale white appearance.
Often the above mixture is mixed with foamy egg white to give the mix a frothy shine and improved texture.
